HISTORY OF LUXURY FASHION

Combining Luxe’s brand ethos of selling second hand luxury at low prices in order to make it more accessible, our social content followed the same principle. Educating people on the history and stories of luxury brands is what fuelled our most successful period online.

What started as a new strategy test, became an obsession for me. I chose topics based on what I wanted to learn more about. This gave me the passion needed to deeply research, write a moving story and edit engagingly a mini documentary on various luxury brands and icons.

We witnessed major success, in engagement and more importantly feedback. Our audience loved the videos jam packed with value- and NOBODY did it like us!

Here’s my faves:

KARL LAGERFELD

Talk about hitting the ground running, in preparation for the MET Gala 2023 “In honour of Karl”, this was the first story I did. It got 15 Million views… immediately we knew we were onto something.

Who is Elsa Schiaparelli? 🤔

ELSA SCHIAPARELLI

My favourite thing about Luxe was the creative freedom. I got to choose and plan all the content which meant I could talk about what I loved, and who other than my favourite brand founder, unknown to many, Elsa Schiaparelli.

ANNA WINTOUR

Would we have truly covered some of fashion biggest icons had we not included the woman distinct by her hair alone? A style she’s maintained for 60+ years by the way. Wintour week was one of my favourites for sure!!

(tbh they all were, making these videos lit a flame in me)
